Psychology, Associate of Science in Core Curriculum
Albany State University offers an Associate of Science in Core Curriculum Guided Pathway to a Baccalaureate Degree in Psychology. The required classes are offered in face-to-face format, or online. Students may enroll in day classes, evening classes, or online classes to meet their individual scheduling needs. The A.S. is available completely online for students at a distance, or for local students who prefer the convenience of online classes.
What can I do with it?
Consider a Bachelor’s Degree: The A.S. degree in psychology is considered to be a transfer degree. This degree is equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, and after completing their A.S. at Albany, students usually finish their bachelor’s degree here at the university or transfer to a four-year college or university to finish a bachelor’s degree in psychology. With a B.S. or a B.A. degree, graduates may find employment in business settings that do not require specialized psychological training. For teaching, research, specialized business pursuits, or counseling the minimum requirement is generally a master’s degree in psychology.
