Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Minor

This program will be an interdisciplinary program designed to inform students about historical and contemporary issues surrounding women’s, gender, and sexuality issues.  By definition, the program highlights diversity and was a direct result of students’ interest in contemporary issues and disturbing incidents related to oppression and systems of power both locally and nationally.

Program Outcomes:

At the successful completion of this minor, students will be able to:

  1. Discuss women’s, gender, and sexuality issues through a contemporary or historical lens; 
  2. Discuss contributions of women in the arts and humanities; and
  3. Deconstruct systems of power and oppression/repression.
